I am an anthropologist specialized in the study of food and wine. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I lived, studied, traveled and worked in Europe and the United States for most of my adult life. I have a PhD in Anthropology from the Università delgi Studi di Torino. I have taught and done research at the Università di Scienze Gastronomiche in Italy, the University of British Columbia in Canada, and Boston University in the US. I attended culinary school at Alain Ducasse Education in Paris before spending a year as a fellow at the Collegium de Lyon in 2014-15. I am currently a member of the Anthropology Department at Connecticut College.
